When you have two best options and have to choose one, how would you decide? It's pretty simple: you compete those two head-on on a task they excel at and choose the one that suits your criteria the best. For example, if you are looking for a vibe coding tool to build an application, and you have two options, for instance, let's say Lovable* and Base44*. You might first compare them both in terms of speed, adherence to the prompt, overall vibe, and better features. Then only you will choose which one you want to use going forward.
That is exactly what we are going to do today, but for AI music generators. Usually, when we compare AI tools, we often compare speed and output quality, and we will do that here, too, but with a twist. Instead of just comparing the two AI music generators, in classic hip hop fashion, we will make them create a diss track on each other.
The two AI music generators we will be using for this are Suno AI and Eleven Music by ElevenLabs.
Suno AI:
Suno AI was launched in 2023 and gained popularity over time, creating realistic songs, both with and without vocals, based on text prompts. It currently has a 4.9-star rating on Product Hunt.
Eleven Music by ElevenLabs:*
Eleven Music is an AI music generator by ElevenLabs that promises to create multi-lingual studio-grade music in any style using prompts. It is currently rated 4.5 stars on AIxploria.

What format did we use?
We kept things simple:
- We used the same prompt on both platforms without any customization.
- We used free versions of both AI music generators.
- Both music generators generated two variations.
- Each song was less than 3 minutes long.
- We did not edit or modify any songs.
Both music generators will get one opportunity with each song, as the greatest rapper alive, Eminem, once said in his famous song: "You only get one shot, don’t miss your chance to blow. This opportunity comes once in a lifetime."
Step 1: Prompts
The prompts we used were: Create a fun rap battle diss track on [Suno AI/ Eleven Music], which is an AI music generator and your competitor.
Step 2: Speed
Suno AI generated both songs faster than Eleven Music by a few seconds.
Step 3: UI
Suno AI's UI is clean, featuring your music dashboard and lyrics on the right side, along with the remix button. Additionally, Suno generates fun, custom AI art as the cover image for each song.
Eleven Music's UI is basic, which is definitely not a bad thing. You can review the lyrics instantly and start editing the song. However, you won't be getting any fun AI art as the cover image for your songs.
Step 4: Output one
Suno:
Eleven Music:
Verdict:
Eleven Musics out-rap Suno, creating a fun yet brutal song. Suno AI created a good song, but I couldn't understand the lyrics. Eleven Music is new, but it honestly impressed me here. Eleven Music wins.
Step 5: Output Two
Suno AI:
Eleven Music:
Verdict:
In my opinion, Eleven Music did create a better diss track. Suno AI deserves credit for making another good song, but this time with clearer lyrics. Eleven Music wins.
Honourable Mention: Suno v4.5+
As we used the free version of both music generators, we couldn't use the latest Suno v4.5+ model. If we had used the Suno v4.5+ model, Eleven Music would have been in trouble. Listening to the previews, the Suno v4.5+ model created not only better songs but also had better lyrics and delivery.
In Conclusion:
Music taste can be subjective, so you may not agree with my opinion. Both of these platforms are capable, as Suno AI showed; being in the industry for longer does make a difference, as it has created beautiful songs every time. Eleven Music*, on the other hand, was an underdog with plenty of potential, as being an ElevenLabs product will only improve with time. Which platform do you think creates better diss tracks?
