Anthropic AI has rolled out a new feature that allows professionals to interact with their everyday tools within Claude, called interactive tools in Claude. This is a feature we have already seen OpenAI add to ChatGPT, known as Apps in ChatGPT. However, we are not here to compare who did what first, but instead, we will check how well Anthropic has implemented this new feature in Claude. With this new feature, Anthropic is suggesting professionals can work and finish tasks without constantly switching tabs.
If you are a designer, data analyst, or business professional, there are different, and even multiple, everyday tools you can connect to and interact with within Claude. Anthropic states that Claude can already connect to tools and can take actions; now, those tools can appear directly in the chat, so you can see and collaborate with them in real time.

Bonus 10:
As of writing this article, Anthropic has highlighted the above-mentioned 9 apps and tools as interactive tools inside Claude. Anthropic has also stated that Salesforce will be available soon as one of the interactive tools within Claude, bringing enterprise context to Claude with Agentforce 360. This means teams can now reason, collaborate, and act from a single, connected interface.
Editor's note:
Thus far, I think Claude has done an amazing job with the implementation, as all the demonstrations look smooth, and it shows some really useful ways to use apps inside Claude. Although Anthropic needs to add more interactive tools, I am optimistic about it because Anthropic AI has stated that the underlying technology they used was the Model Context Protocol (MCP). There is also a new extension to MCP called MCP Apps that lets any MCP server deliver an interactive interface within any supporting AI product, not just Claude.
Now, all we need to do is compare the apps in ChatGPT and the interactive tools in Claude to see which company has implemented the apps/tools better inside the chat.
