Adobe Firefly has recently announced Generative Expand as one of the new features for Adobe Firefly, which has been added to the Generative Fill section in the Firefly web application. This feature offers many creative options that help you change an image’s aspect ratio or size according to your needs. Now, you can extend images to fit any content needs, whether to accommodate text or adjust an image to meet a specific size requirement.

You can resize your images seamlessly using the Generative Expand feature. All you need to do is click and drag the borders of your image to the desired size and generate high-quality content that blends in naturally with the existing image. You can place your subject anywhere, like a fantastical forest or within an ornate gold frame, to create any scene.Β

Step 1: Visit the Adobe Firefly website.

Step 2: Prepare an image, and if you do not have one already, you can generate one directly on the website or download one from the community gallery.

Step 3:

  • Scroll down.
  • Go to Generative Expand.

Step 4:Β Choose the expand feature and start expanding the image. You will even get some options to add the button for the commonly used aspect ratios.

Step 5: Click generate to get 3 options that fluidly blend into the scenario.
